The Crazy Colby Fire

Well, today the beginning of the end commenced as Southern California’s wildfire season seemed to start much sooner than normal because of the terrible drought conditions we’ve got going on.  As you’d naturally think, it’s totally a good idea to start a campfire in the completely dried out foothills – you know, because that’s just what you do.  What?  It’s not a good idea?  And a small gust of wind can start an inferno that envelops the foothills north of Glendora and Azusa, eventually even the area north of Duarte?  And your mom starts to naturally and reasonably freak out and prepares to evacuate?  Yeah, great idea!

Just the pictures are intense to look at – as you can see, sometimes the flames were just a bit overwhelming to look at as it looked straight out of a movie.  One of the pics below totally looks like a Volcano.  “The Coast is Toast”, indeed.GlendoraFire2

Gotta temper the frustration and rage at such stupidity with regards to the 3 idiots who “accidentally” set the fire by imagining that everyone who is getting saved or helped by firemen are encountering men who look something like this:
