Yet again, another month that I’ve managed to get one post a day in. Â I know, I know, however do I stay grounded knowing how awesome a job that is? Â Believe me, it’s not easy. Â I do what I can.
Anyway, it was another ridiculously rainy day here in Los Angeles although by the end of it, it did seem like it was finally letting up.  Perfect day for doing nothing, that’s for sure.  We watched Mary Poppins (50th Anniversary Edition) at dinner and while the movie has a lot of high points, it is definitely a movie where I think an editor could have done a slightly better job to keep things moving along a touch.  The animated portions go on FOREVER.  But the very end of the movie, with “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” is pure bliss.  I love watching it now especially having watched Saving Mister Banks, which I talked about here.  It adds a lot to realize Mary Poppins was really there to save Mr. Banks and not explicitly the children.  Anyway, if you’re up for a cry, here’s the scene:
