Regardless of how much therapy that requires, Larry & I still made sure to celebrate it properly and joined Stacy, Trent & Kathy (who I’d not met before) down in Newport Beach to have lunch/dinner (lunner?  linner?) at the Crab Cooker.  Telling Larry that  a restaurant has that name means you get to hear his Elvis impression, which is entirely based on this actual song:
Can you imagine Larry singing it? Â Yes, yes you can. Â “Gonna have a clam bake!”
Crab Cooker had some fantastic food, that’s for sure. Â And it really wasn’t too expensive either. Â We then took a walk around the beach and the Newport Beach Pier – and while the temperature was maybe 60, it was amazing. Â The sun was out and it didn’t feel that cold at all. Â A very nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Â Also nice? Â Drinking a tasty cocktail when you get home.
