We went and saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier this Sunday and to put it mildly, it was amazing and thrilling. It’s received a ton of good reviews and all of them are well-deserved. The combination of Captain America (Chris Evans….drool….they found all the best outfits to put him in) with Black Widow (Scarlett Johanssen), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) serve to be a compelling mix along with the timely message of how much do you really want to sacrifice in order for “security’? Seeing that S.H.I.E.L.D. was the enemy all along (spoiler alert!) and from quite a while ago was pretty intense and that development makes me quite curious what they’re going to do on the ABC television show. I’ll be tuning in on Tuesday to see how they address it, as the organization is not the same by any means.
I’m definitely looking forward to how things are addressed in the next Avengers movie – and I am definitely looking forward to the home release – the 3D was especially good in this. Alright, I’m done. A giant thumbs up from me!
