We got our awesome rug that we picked up while taking our Eastern Mediterranean cruise. When we got to Istanbul, one of the stops on the excursions was to visit a Turkish rug shop. Neither Larry nor I had any true intention of buying a rug, but let’s just say, they’re extremely aggressive salesmen, yet charming at the same time. Plus, when they thought we were haggling, but merely just trying to leave, they kept lowering the price. Finally, it was too good a price to pass up. Especially having a true backstory to it. And they had soooo many rugs to choose from and quickly found one that suited us perfectly. Here are some pics of it in place, now that we finally got it:
