Brunch & Views Amidst Dahlinks

Today was a fun day.  Larry & I had an oft-delayed brunch finally with my two fave dahlinks, Mila & Sveta, at Edendale.  The food was of course good and the companionship was quite amazing, as they really are the best people to do anything with.   I may be biased.  I then got them to watch my 2 favorite episodes of Broad City from this past season, “Wisdom Teeth” and “Knockoffs,” and I think I have added more fans to the collective.  How could you not?

After that, we then took a quick drive up the Franklin Hills to where Mila’s brother Ken just bought a home.  He’s been wildly successful in his career and can afford the purchase of a home here, which is not chump change by any stretch of the imagination.  He plans on doing some work on the interiors as it definitely could use some sparkling up, but my god, the views from his home are jaw-dropping.  We could see the ocean, for chrissakes.  And we’re very far from the ocean.  A wonderful vista from Griffith Park and all across Hollywood and the West Side.  Stupendous.  It makes me happy for him while also coveting, a little, what he has.  Soon enough, I think!
